Meet Kathy Hershey 1. How long have you been attending Hope Church and what is one thing you love about Hope Church? I've been attending Hope for about 10 years and there's so much I love about Hope so it's hard to narrow it down to one thing! But at the top of my list for me are the spirit of worship and inspiring messages of our services. I come away every week filled with hope and challenged to grow in my faith. 2. Why did you want to be on the women's leadership team? Several years ago, I wanted to be able to serve at Hope in some way and I felt a call to serve on the women's ministry team. When I asked about it, I was told that they were just putting together a team to lead the ministry so it was perfect timing to join the team. Coincidence? I think not! I love how God guides us to serve in just the right time and place to help us grow and to fill a ministry need. His timing and plans are always best! 3. What has been one of your favorite ladies min...

Meet Liz Keefer   Hi! My name is Elizabeth, mostly known as Liz.  I am called Lizzy by my family, but don't hear that too often now.  I grew up in upstate NY near the Utica, Syracuse area.  I am the oldest of 4 kids.  I attended Keuka College and earned a degree in Occupational Therapy.  I have been able to encounter all ages of people over my many years in healthcare.  I held a newborn baby that weighed four pounds in my left hand, the tiniest life is so precious, I will never forget that experience.  I have also worked women that were 112 and 109 years old! I met Kevin at Keuka College and we were married in the college Chapel after we had both graduated.  Our first home was close to his family in Jamestown, NY.  We moved to Ohio almost 18 years ago.  We have three kiddos - Jacob is 20, Owen is 17 and Grace is 14.  1. How long have you been attending Hope Church and what is one thing you love about Hope Church? We were ...

Liz also shared more information about how you can support the card ministry. See our previous post for details about how to make the cards or obtain a kit. We sincerely hope that you enjoy making the cards and that you take the time to give them to someone in your life or donate them to the card ministry to bless others in the community. Ally Brennan then shared with us the lessons she has learned from the past year of the COVID-19 pandemic. This week marked the one year anniversary of the first case of COVID-19 in Ohio and one year since the first time we closed church and moved into a season with many unknowns. Many of the lessons she shared have been hard to learn and were hard for her to share, but they remind us to check our hearts and encourage us to stay rooted in Christ.  Here are some of the lessons ...
