Meet Ally Brennan

 

1. How long have you been attending Hope Church and what is one thing you love about Hope Church?

I have been attending Hope Church since June 2019.  When my husband and I came here, we felt so welcome and loved.  The people at Hope are kind and accepting.  We also see a deep desire to learn more about God’s word which aligns with our hearts as well.  We are so thankful that God brought us to Hope.

2. Why did you want to be on the women's leadership team?

A few months after joining Hope, I was invited to attend a meeting and later join the team. After praying about it, I felt like it was the right thing to do.

3. What has been one of your favorite ladies ministry event and why?

I have enjoyed all our ministry events, but I truly grew and learned so much at the virtual Revive our Hearts Conference in the fall of 2019.   The lessons regarding pride especially stood out to me and have changed my thinking.

4. What is something you feel like God has been teaching you?

God has been teaching me to seek Him first.  He has been working on me to let go of fighting to make the world what I want it to be or think it should be.  Instead He has directed my heart and thoughts to loving Him and loving others to be able to share Christ with others better.

5. Anything else you want to share about yourself? Something unique or interesting, or perhaps something you like to do for fun?

A little about me that most people do not know is I love Legos.  One of my presents last year was a subscription to a Lego club where they send me Lego sets, I build them and then take them apart and send them back.  My kids like to laugh at me since I am mid-forties woman who asks for Legos for Christmas and birthdays .
